A manual winch, also known as a hand-cranked winch, is a mechanical device that pulls goods by manually turning the winch drum. The winch, driven by gears, uses the steel wire rope drum attached to it to pull the goods. It is equipped with an automatic brake system, which enhances safety during operation. When the winch rope is pulling the goods and the drum remains stationary, the brake automatically activates. When various rescue tasks are required, the manual winch serves as an alternative to vehicle-mounted winches. Its greatest advantage is its portability, allowing connection from any direction of the vehicle. It is lightweight and sturdy, made with electroplating and pressed steel structure, with steel cables being pulled by two fixed forks that move pulleys forward. These forks pull the cable when the winch is in forward mode, and they also form an automatic braking system. The forks automatically lock up when the grip force increases. The manual winch can also be used for lifting (the lifting force is approximately 65% of the pulling force).
