〖琉璃的传说〗

琉璃相传是公元前493年范蠡督造利剑时所发现的。范蠡以为这种物质是天地阴阳造化所能达成的效果，于是将其随剑一起敬献给越王。越王感念铸剑之功，原物赐还，还将这种神奇的物质命名为“蠡”。之后范蠡遍访能工巧匠，将“蠡”打造成一件精美的首饰，作为定情之物送给了西施。相传这就是世界上最早的琉璃。同年战事起，越大败。西施被迫前往吴国和亲，离别时将“蠡”送还，传说中，西施的眼泪还滴在这“蠡”上，天地日月为之所动，至今还可以看见西施眼泪在其中流动，后人称之为“流蠡”，今天的“琉璃”就是这个名字的谐音，并由此演变而来的。
