Warm Reminder
Maintenance of stainless steel products:
The use of stainless steel has become more widespread with economic development. People are closely involved with stainless steel in their daily lives, but many lack a good understanding of its properties, and even less knowledge about how to maintain it properly. Many believe that stainless steel never rusts, yet it actually has excellent corrosion resistance. This is due to a passive film that forms on its surface, which exists in a more stable oxide form in nature. With proper maintenance and care, we can effectively extend the service life of stainless steel products and keep them shiny as new.
The stainless steel surface should be regularly cleaned and maintained to preserve its beautiful appearance. When cleaning the surface, it is essential to avoid scratches, and detergents containing bleaching agents or abrasives should be avoided, along with steel wool and grinding tools.
The stainless steel surface has dust and dirt that can be easily removed; it can be cleaned with soap, mild detergent, or warm water.
Trademarks and coatings on the stainless steel surface should be cleaned with warm water and mild detergent. For adhesive components, use alcohol or organic solvents (ethyl ether, benzene) for scrubbing.
Dirt, oil, and lubricant contamination on the stainless steel surface should be wiped clean with a soft cloth, and then cleaned using a neutral detergent or a specialized cleaner.
The stainless steel surface is contaminated with bleaching agents and various acids. Immediately rinse with water, then wash with a neutral carbonated soda solution, followed by cleaning with a neutral detergent or warm water.
The rainbow patterns on the stainless steel surface are caused by excessive use of detergents or oil. They can be removed using mild detergent in warm water during washing.
Rust caused by dirt on the stainless steel surface can be cleaned using 10% nitric acid or grinding detergent, or with specialized cleaning chemicals.
Stainless steel has a low thermal conductivity, results in slow heat dissipation at the bottom, and temperature tends to concentrate. Therefore, when using stainless steel cooking utensils, the heat should not be too intense; efforts should be made to ensure uniform heating across the bottom. This not only saves fuel but also prevents food from burning at the bottom of the pan.
