This instrument is a good assistant for gardening, can test the PH value (PH), soil moisture and light intensity of the soil
Usage:
To measure soil PH and moisture, first insert the probe as deep as possible into the soil, leaving about 1 cm above the probe.
The number 1-3(red part) indicates watering is needed, and 4-7(green part) is appropriate. Please adjust the watering time according to the plant species, and 8-10(blue part) indicates that it is too WET.
The value 7 is basically neutral, and the smaller the number is, the higher the acidity is. Please adjust the soil acidity according to the plant varieties.
The LIGHT key is the LIGHT intensity. The measurement range is 0-2000 lumens. The higher the value is, the stronger the LIGHT will be.
Be careful not to touch the stone when inserting the electrode, and do not use too much force, or it will easily hurt the electrode. Clean the electrode after use.
What is the range of acidity of common crop soil?
Soil ph has a great influence on plant nutrient availability, soil structure and crop growth. First of all, soil organic nutrients can only be converted into available nutrients for plants to absorb through the participation of soil microorganisms, and most of the microorganisms involved in the decomposition of organic matter grow and develop in an environment close to neutral. Therefore, the effectiveness of soil nutrients is generally better when it is close to neutral. Secondly, soil acidity has an effect on soil structure. What is the concentration of hydrogen ions in acidic soil? Calcium ions are substituted out and leached out, so acidic soils tend to harden. Alkaline soil contains a large number of substitutive sodium ions and hydrogen and oxygen ions, which disperse the soil particles and harden after drying, resulting in the structural defects of alkaline soil. In addition, soil acidity is closely related to plant growth. In nature, some plants have strict requirements for soil acidity and alkalinity conditions. They can only grow within a certain range of acidity and alkalinity. These plants can play an indicator role for soil acidity and alkalinity. For example, sycamore only grows on acidic soil, which is called an indicator plant of acidic soil. Cypress is the indicator plant of calcareous soil, while erigeron is the indicator plant of alkaline soil. Different cultivated plants also have different ranges of suitable ph (see the table below). Knowing their respective growth ranges, we can choose suitable crops according to soil ph according to local conditions. Or adjust the ph of the soil to the appropriate range according to the crop.
