Many people do not know how to read the tire pressure gauge. Here's how to read the tire pressure gauge for you:
First, look inside the tire pressure gauge, there is a circle of red and a circle of black numbers and labels.
The red ring shows pounds per square foot.
The black inner ring indicates kilograms per square centimeter.
The 2.2 or 2.8 we often speak of in daily life all refer to the black numbers on the inner circle.
Basically, as long as you master the above information, it's enough. If you want to know more details, please refer to the following content.
The red ring is in Imperial units psi (pounds per square inch)
The unit in the inner circle is (kilogram/square centimeter), and the standard unit in the system is Newton/square meter, which is Pa (Pascal).
One atmospheric pressure is approximately 10.1 Newton/square centimeter, which is equivalent to 1.03 kilograms/square centimeter. Roughly speaking, one atmospheric pressure is the position of 'hi' on your watch, which should be the place marked '1.03' on your watch.
Imperial units conversion: 1 kilogram = 15 PSI
A compact tire pressure gauge with convenient portability, simple operation, good durability, and accurate readings. It is suitable for the internal pressure detection of inflatable tires on various vehicles. The data readout is directly in kilogram-force pressure, making it very convenient to use.
1. Metal construction, durable and reliable. 2. High-quality precision movement, accurate and durable. 3. Indicates LBS and KBS for two types of pressure units, suitable for judging the internal pressure of pneumatic tires for various vehicles. 4. For general passenger cars, the tire pressure is suitable at 28-35 pounds (28-35LBS/SQ.IN), and the specific standard should be based on the data in the car's product manual.
Applicable vehicle type: Universal type
1. Unit conversion: 1 kgf/cm² = 98 kPa 2. Normal car maintenance: It should be measured once a month to check tire pressure.
Steps
1. Unscrew the cap covering the tire valve.
2. Screw the copper tip of the tire pressure gauge into (rotate into) the valve stem, and tighten.
3. The tire pressure gauge will display the tire pressure.
4. If the tire pressure is insufficient, please inflate it. If the tire pressure is too high, please press the release valve to fine-tune the pressure.
5. Measurement completed, unscrew the copper head, press the air release valve, and adjust the pointer to zero. Screw back the original tire valve cover.
