wearWearing Cheongsam: Due to the special nature of the product, it is important to emphasize the proper wearing of the cheongsam. Generally, the cheongsam should be worn with caution, avoiding stains from perspiration, oil, lipstick, and avoiding scratches on rough surfaces and sharp edges. It should also be avoided from prolonged contact with hard objects. In addition, the cheongsam should not be worn continuously for a long time, especially not under direct sunlight for extended periods.
Washing Cheongsam: Silk fabric should generally be dry-cleaned or carefully hand-washed. If hand-washing is necessary, use a silk-specific detergent or slightly acidic laundry soap. Never use ordinary laundry detergent or soap as they are alkaline. Since silk fibers are not resistant to alkaline, the clothes can be squeezed after washing, but not twisted or machine-dried vigorously. After removing excess water, the cheongsam should be simple shaped, then laid flat or hung to dry in a shaded place, never exposed to direct sunlight or dried. If there are wrinkles after drying, the cheongsam can be ironed, and the ironing temperature should be controlled between 165℃-185℃. It can be ironed on the reverse side or with a cloth, never directly spraying on the clothing. After ironing, the clothes should be placed in a well-ventilated place until the heat and humidity dissipate, otherwise it is easy to cause mildew.
Cheongsam storage: Non-silk cheongsam can be hung on a hanger in a dry and well-ventilated cabinet, making sure the length of the hanger matches the shoulder width of the cheongsam. For silk cheongsam, it should not be kept too close to fur or woolen garments. In addition, since silk is a protein fiber that is susceptible to insect damage, it is recommended to place mothproofing agents in the cabinet where the cheongsam is stored. If possible, wrap the cheongsam in soft paper to prevent yellowing and maintain its vibrant colors. Generally, white cheongsam should be wrapped in blue paper, and colorful cheongsam should be wrapped in dark colored paper.
