There are many varieties of zipper, here we mainly introduce three classification methods according to varieties, materials and specifications.

According to the variety classification, it can be divided into two categories: closed tail and open tail

A. close-end zipper (see Figure 2-25 for close-end zipper) when the zipper is opened, the two side teeth metallic belt cannot be completely separated.

(1) single-end closed-end zipper (see figure 2-25a for one way close-end zipper) refers to a closed-end zipper with a pull.

(2) two way close-end zipper refers to the closed-end zipper with two pulls, and the two pulls can be opened and closed back or opposite.

a. When the two pullers open the chain, the zipper is "O" (see figure 2-25b).

B. When the two pullers open the chain, the zipper is "X" (see figure 2-25c).

B. open-end zipper when the zipper is opened, the two side teeth can be completely separated metallic belt.

(1) one way open-end zipper wears an open-end zipper with a pull head. When the pull head body is pulled to the socket, the cannula can be pulled out from the pull head body and the socket, so that the two teeth are metallic belt disengaged, and when the cannula enters the socket through the pull head body, it can be pulled together.

  (2) two way open-end zipper (two way open-end zipper) wear the open-end zipper with two pullers, pull the two pullers to the end, and the cannula can be pulled out from the two pullers, so that the two teeth are metallic belt disengaged; When the two pullers are at the end of the tooth metallic belt, the cannula on the other side is inserted into the two pullers to pull together.

Classification by material: nylon zipper, injection zipper, metal zipper

          A. Nylon zipper (Nylon zipper), Nylon zipper refers to the zipper that is fixed on the edge of woven belt by monofilament through molding and other processes.

     (1) core nylon zipper (W/O cord nylon zipper see figure 2-26a) the chain teeth are spiral shaped by monofilament around the core line, and the zipper arranged on the side of woven belt is fixed by stitching.

 (2) WW/cord nylon zipper chain teeth are hollow spiral shaped by monofilament, and the zipper arranged on the side of woven belt is fixed by stitching.

 (3) double-bone zipper (see figure 2-26b) L-tape nylon zipper chain teeth are made of monofilament into continuous U-shaped zipper, which is stitched and fixed on the side of woven belt.

 (4) invisible zipper (see figure 2-26c for invisible zipper) the chain teeth are spiral formed by monofilament around the core line, and the suture will fold woven belt inside and turn out on woven belt. After the pull head is pulled together, the zipper of chain teeth cannot be seen on the front.

 (5) woven zipper (see figure 2-26d for weave nylon zipper) metallic belt the zipper formed by weaving yarn and monofilament at one time.

      B. Injection zipper Derlin zipper

(1) polyoxymethylene injection zipper (see Figure 2-27 for polyformldehyde derlin zipper), chain teeth are fixed on injection moulding technology zipper with ribs by polyoxymethylene through woven belt.

 (2) reinforced zipper (see Figure 2-28 for strengthened zipper), the chain teeth are made of nylon material, which is fixed on the side of woven belt through extrusion, molding and stitching.     C. metal zipper (see Figure 2-29 for metal zipper) the chain teeth of the zipper are made of metal materials, including aluminum and copper (brass, white copper, bronze, red copper, etc.).

the size of the zipper refers to the number of millimeters in width after the two-tooth chain is engaged, such as No. 3, No. 4, No. 5, No. 7, No. 8, No. 9...... No. 20, etc. The size of the model is proportional to the size of the zipper teeth, of which No. 3~7 is the most commonly used zipper.
