【Usage Method】
1. Before sampling, label the sample tube with relevant sample information.
2. Sample according to different requirements by using a swab in the corresponding area.
3. Quickly place the swab into the sterile sample tube.
4. Break off the part of the swab that extends above the sample tube, and screw on the cap tightly.
5. Freshly collected clinical specimens should be transported to the laboratory within 48 hours at 4°C. If the specimens cannot be transported within 48 hours, they should be stored at -70°C or lower. After the specimens reach the laboratory, they should be inoculated and isolated as soon as possible. Specimens that can be inoculated and isolated within 48 hours can be stored at 4°C. If inoculation and isolation cannot be performed, the specimens should be stored at -70°C or lower (inactivated specimens can be stored at room temperature).
6. The specific sampling methods include the following:
a) Nasal Swab: Gently insert the swab tip into the nasal cavity near the nasal roof, stay for a moment, and then slowly rotate and withdraw. Use another swab to wipe the other nostril, immerse the swab tip in the sampling liquid, and discard the tail. (Suitable for sampling with this product).
b) Throat Swab: Use the swab to wipe both sides of the tonsils and the posterior wall of the pharynx, then immerse the swab head in the sampling liquid, discard the tail. (Suitable for sampling with this product).
C) Sampling of Mycoplasma, Chlamydia, and Ureaplasma specimens: For males, insert an aseptic cotton swab into the urethra about 2cm deep and rotate it, then hold it still for a few seconds to collect the specimen. For females, wipe away the mucus at the cervix, insert an aseptic swab into the cervical canal 1-2cm deep to collect the specimen.
