Kitchen Knife Use Safety
1. Keep your knife sharp: A sharp knife is safer than a dull one. When cutting ingredients with a sharp knife, you need less effort, it's more precise and less likely to slip, and your hands won't get tired easily.
2. Make the knife fully visible: When placing the knife, face the handle towards yourself and ensure that it is properly placed so that it does not fall accidentally. Do not let a cloth or other obstructions cover the knife, as this could lead to an accident. When passing the knife to someone else, be careful not to point the knife blade towards them.
3. When the knife falls: When the knife falls, do not try to catch it with your hands, as this may lead to serious injuries.
4. Keep in a safe place: Sharp knives are dangerous for children, and they must be placed where children cannot reach.
5. Avoid contact with heat sources: Do not place the knife on the stove or remove it from heat sources, or the knife may easily be damaged or cause burns.
Note: Do not use your fingers to test the sharpness of the knife blade.
