q: Why is stainless steel knife and scissors magnetic?

Stainless steel determines magnetic or not according to different purposes, so magnetic or not cannot be simply used to explain whether it is stainless steel.

Answer: stainless steel rust-resistant is related to adding more than 12% chromium into the matrix.
