Abacus, also known as the abacus, is a simple and convenient calculation tool invented by the Han Chinese people. China is the birthplace of the abacus, and in today's world where computers have been widely used, the ancient abacus not only has not been abandoned, but has become increasingly popular due to its advantages such as flexibility and accuracy. Therefore, people often compare the invention of the abacus to the four great inventions of ancient China. In the famous painting "The Pure Brightness Festival on the River" by the Northern Song Dynasty, there is a abacus in the pharmacy cabinet of Zhao Taichong's family. Due to the convenience and speed of the abacus, it has been a widely used calculation tool for thousands of years by the Han people, and even modern electronic calculators cannot completely replace the role of the abacus. The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization just passed in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, that the abacus has officially become an intangible cultural heritage of humanity. This is China's 30th project listed in the intangible cultural heritage.
