We usually classify feathers into primary feathers, down feathers, and filamentous feathers. Down feathers and filamentous feathers are used as filling materials for pillow and quilt cores. Primary feathers are divided into large feathers and secondary feathers. Treatment of Feather Raw Materials

Wash - Pour the feathers into the washing machine, try to avoid feathers flying around. Pour water into the washing machine, press the feathers while watering to ensure they are fully immersed in the water. Twist the feathers to clean them, disinfect, bleach, and soak them thoroughly.

Dyeing Pour the washed feathers into the dyeing vat, stir them evenly in the water, and do not let them clump together. According to the ratio of the dyeing granules indicated in the dyeing instructions, pour them into the dyeing vat, and at the same time, use a wooden stick to vigorously stir in the dyeing vat. The water temperature should be controlled at 60-80°C, and the dyeing time should not exceed 12 hours to avoid damaging the feather texture. In this process, feather dyeing is usually better with weak acidic dyes and neutral dyes. The pH value is selected at 4.5.
