A demonstration model of Newton's law of inertia learned in physics class in middle school. I miss the time in middle school very much.

five balls hang side by side, and touch each other and the center of the ball is in the same straight line, first pull the left ball 15~20mm, then release it, the ball next to it stops after collision, while the ball on the right is swinging, and the swing distance is roughly the same as that of the ball on the left.

If the two balls on the left are pulled apart at the same time, the two balls will stop after the collision, while the two balls on the right swing up, when the right ball comes back and collides with the left ball, it will pass the momentum to the left ball again.

This is law of conservation of linear momentum, but because of Newton's law of inertia, this kind of collision will stop swinging due to mutual offset of force, so don't imagine it will keep swinging!
