A demonstration model of Newton's law of inertia that was studied in middle school physics classes, I miss the time in middle school.

It can be kept as a memento or given to friends, or placed on the desk at work or on the coffee table at home for decorative effect.

Five balls are suspended side by side and in contact with each other, with their centers being on the same straight line. First, pull the leftmost ball away by 15 to 20 millimeters, and then release it. When the ball next to it on the right collides, it stops, but the ball on the right swings up, and the distance of the swing is roughly the same as the distance the leftmost ball was pulled.

If the two balls on the left are pulled apart at the same time, after the collision, the two balls will stop. Meanwhile, there are two more balls on the right that start moving. When the right balls collide with the left ones and come back, they will pass on their momentum to the left balls.

This is the law of conservation of momentum, but because of the Newton's law of inertia, such a collision will stop swinging due to the mutual cancellation of forces, so don't imagine it will swing forever!
