In 1922, James Buchanan, the founder of Black and White Dog, was granted the noble title “Baron Warrenton”. It is also reported that one of Walt Disney’s favorite cocktails, Scottish Mist, is made by mixing Black and White Dog with lemon and ice.

It seems like Black and White Dog is a common whisky, but over 100 years ago, it was a favorite brand among the British upper class. Since 1885, Black and White Dog has been invited to serve as the designated whisky supplier for the House of Commons in the UK. This contract remains valid today after more than 130 years. In 1898, due to its exceptional quality, Black and White Dog received royal recognition and became a licensed beverage supplier to Queen Victoria, the Prince of Wales, and the Duke of York.
