Product Introduction:
MONTES蒙特斯酒庄
The Montes Puria Angelic Dry Red Wine has a bright deep purple color. The aroma of red and black berries is prominent, with an alluring and smooth chocolate and mocha coffee aroma. The combination of these two types of aroma presents a complex and layered flavor. The taste is soft, with smooth tannins and concentrated acidity. The wine is full-bodied and has great potential for aging.
Brewing process
Montes has always adhered to the concept of sustainable development, and it is a winery that promotes dry farming in Chilean vineyards, significantly improving the utilization rate of water resources. Since 2000, by continuously monitoring pests and diseases, water resources, and nutrient supply, Montes ensures the sustainable use of pesticides, fertilizers, and water resources. On the other hand, the winery uses grape pulp (skin and seeds) to make compost, and in wine production, it adopts advanced gravity flow technology to minimize human intervention as much as possible. After harvesting, the grapes are quickly transported to the top floor of the winery, where they undergo manual selection, removal of stems, and pressing before entering open fermentation tanks for fermentation. Then, the wine will be transported to the cellar by a special elevator equipped with stainless steel tanks. All transportation and conveying work during the wine-making process is completed under gravity, avoiding the friction and stirring caused by severe mechanical processing, making the tannins in the wine more delicate and smooth. (The Syrah for this wine was planted on the steep slopes of Apalta, and the owner spent a great deal of effort to find suitable planting areas for high-quality Syrah.)
Chateau Introduction
Montes Wines is one of the renowned wineries in Chile's Colchagua Valley. The name of Montes Wines is derived from Aurelio Montes Baseden, an outstanding and very business-savvy winemaker. In the 1980s, Chilean wine exports began to grow, but it was not enough to meet the demand for high-quality wines. As an experienced winemaker, Aurelio always had a dream that with his experience, he could improve the quality of Chilean wines. In 1987, he produced Montes Alpha Cabernet Sauvignon Colchagua Valley, which was a milestone in Chilean wine history.Chile's Monteville became famous overnight, representing the high-quality Chilean wine. In 1988, he teamed up with three partners, Alfredo Vidaurre, Douglas Murray, and Pedro Grand, to found the Monteville winery. After years of hard work, they successfully launched a series of high-quality wines. It is said that this is because Mr. Douglas Murray once saw the figure of an angel in a major accident, and since then, he has firmly believed in the existence of the angel guardian. Therefore, Monteville chose the image of an angel as its trademark and placed a statue of an angel in the winery's cellar to "guard" Monteville's fine wines.
