The auxiliary fuel tank is a guarantee that a race car always has fuel during intense competitions. It is a constantly full tank that works in tandem with the main fuel tank, serving as an additional device.
In the race, the gasoline in the main fuel tank gradually consumes, and when it is almost exhausted, the car continues to go through the corners. The G-FORCE during the car's tilt causes the remaining gasoline to tilt to one side, and the fuel pump will not be able to suck the oil, leading to an abrupt interruption in fuel supply. This will cause the engine to lose power and have serious hidden dangers of buried cylinder explosions if it cannot consume gasoline. If this situation occurs, the auxiliary fuel tank will immediately take over the role of the main fuel tank to continuously supply fuel to the engine to ensure that the race car can continue to move forward.
The principle is that no matter how much oil is in the main tank, the auxiliary tank is always full. This constant fullness is achieved by the continuous work of the three pipes. Generally, this set of pipes has three, one of which is used to pump oil from the main tank to the auxiliary tank with an oil pump. Another pipe is used to return the overflow back to the main tank. The third pipe directly connects to the engine's oil rail to supply oil to the engine. As for the additional four or five pipes, it is a dual protection function. Once a fault occurs in the group that pumps oil or supplies the engine, the other group will make up for it to ensure that the oil supply process is flawless.
As for its placement, it is also very important, as it is an extremely flammable liquid. Therefore, it is essential to choose a safe place to store it to ensure safety.
