The Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), ruled by the Aisin-Gioro clan of the Manchu people, ruled China for a total of 268 years. The Qing Dynasty's clothing retained the traditional Manchu clothing. The main features of the Qing Dynasty's female cheongsam were wide, straight, and reaching the ankles. The materials were mainly silk and satin, with embroidery, lace, gold-painted, and woven patterns. The cheongsam was adorned with intricate patterns, with wide borders around the collar, body, and hem. The daughters of the Qing Dynasty's emperors were all called "Gége." Their shoes were very distinctive, a type of high-heeled shoe with a flower-box design. They all wore horned hats, and their gait was elegant and attractive.
