The Dream of the Red Chamber, originally titled (The Story of Stone), is one of the four major classical literary masterpieces of Chinese literature. It was written by Cao Xueqin, a writer from the Qing Dynasty. The book takes the wealthy families of the Jia, Shi, Wang, and Xue clans as its backdrop. It centers around the tragic love story of Jia Baoyu and Lin Daiyu, and comprehensively depicts the human diversity of the end of the feudal society. Among them, the depiction of the twelve outstanding Jiangnan women, known as the "Twelve Beauty of the Red Chamber" (Jinling Twelve Beauties), is particularly notable. They are Lin Daiyu, Xue Baochai, Jia Yuhuan, Jia Tanfu, Shi Xiangyun, Miao Yu, Jia Yingchun, Jia Xichun, Wang Xifeng, Xue Baoqin, Li Wan, and Qin Keqing. Each person is characterized by a unique personality that runs through the entire work, such as Lin Daiyu's graceful burial of flowers, Baochai's graceful butterfly-pursuing, Tanfu's wistful wedding, and so on. Like fairies descending to the mortal world, their opening design, whether it's clothing, jewelry, or graceful posture, deeply highlights the characters' personalities and fates.
