◆ specimen collection

use disposable clean containers to collect fresh urine samples at any time, preferably morning urine. if the urine sample is visible turbid, it needs to be centrifuged, filtered or to be settled before taking the upper clear liquid for detection. if it cannot be sent for examination in time, urine samples can be stored for 48 hours in the cold storage at 2℃-8℃. it needs to be frozen at-20℃ for long-term storage. avoid repeated freezing and thawing.

◆ operation steps

before testing, you must read the instructions completely and restore the reagent and urine samples to room temperature (18℃-30℃) before using.

1. take out the test strip from the original package aluminum foil bag and use it as soon as possible within 1 hour.

2. insert the test strip into the urine specimen in the direction of the arrow. note: the urine level cannot exceed the marking line of the test strip.

3. take it out and lay it flat on a clean and flat table after 3-8 seconds; you can also not take it out and keep it in the urine cup until reading the results.

4. wait for the occurrence of purplish red bands, and the test results should be read in 5 minutes. it is invalid after 10 minutes.

◆ result determination

positive (+): two purplish red bands appear. one is in the test area (t) and the other is in the quality control area (c). indicates that you are pregnant.

negative (-): only one purplish red band appears in the quality control area (c), and no purplish red band appears in the test area (t). indicates that you are not pregnant.

invalid: no purplish red strip appears in the quality control area (c), indicating that the incorrect operation process or the reagent strip has deteriorated and damaged. in this case, the instructions should be read carefully again and tested again with a new reagent strip. if the problem persists, stop using this batch number immediately and contact the local supplier.

note: the color band of reagent strip quality control line and test line can show the color depth due to the content of hcg in urine, and the result is determined according to the above standards.

[precautions]]

1. there is no color band in the control line and inspection and test line, indicating that the detection error should be retried; when the hcg concentration is very high, the inspection and test line is obvious, and the control line may become very weak, which is a normal result;

2. conditional laboratories should use reference substance for simultaneous determination;

3. if the tested person still suspects the possibility of conception and the urine test is negative, he can collect morning urine again after 48~72 hours;

4. patients with uterine tumor, hydatidiform mole or menopause may have positive results due to the high content of hcg in urine.
