Even if you catch a large fish or occasionally get snagged, cutting the leader line under stress protects the fishing rod. Therefore, do not increase the strength of the leader line arbitrarily.
Reduce the strength of the fishing rod
When fishing, do not pull the rod too hard, and try to avoid pulling the fish directly onto the shore or bringing the fish to the surface. You should guide the fish along, and if it's a large fish, you must play it. After the fish is tired, use a net to catch it, always reducing the stress on the fishing rod. If you need to adjust the position of the floating float during fishing, make sure to first retract the rod, hold the upper part of the fishing line tightly with one hand, and pull the space bean and the float with the other hand to avoid the fishing rod from being stressed. This prevents sand, mud, and water stains from entering the tube wall of the fishing rod, causing wear and tear and scratching the paint. For the metal clips on the sea rod, it is especially important not to let them get wet, to prevent rust, and it is best to wipe them with oil cotton after each fishing trip.

Use the correct casting technique
Some anglers will always pull hard on the rod when the hook gets caught on underwater debris, or they will violently jerk the rod up and down. This is a very wrong action, which may break the rod, or cause the connection to break or loosen. If the hook gets caught, you can try to pull the line by hand. If it still doesn't work, you can wrap the line around your waist and then back away. This is a last resort, as it either means the hook breaks or the line goes missing. When the rod gets stuck and can't be pulled out, it's important not to suddenly squat down to the ground, as this is most likely to crack the connection. When fishing, although the rod has good elasticity and toughness, it's not recommended to violently swing or pull, to prevent the rod from breaking.
Winter Fishing Rod Maintenance
Winter is no longer fishing, the fishing rod should be carefully maintained to extend its life. If the carbon fishing rod is not used, it is best to put it back into the original box. After putting the original box, do not put it in the general room, but to store it in a storage room with a temperature of 20 to 25C, humidity no more than 60. If there is no original box for the fishing rod, it should first be put into the cloth rod sleeve, and then put the fishing rod into the rod bag. The rod box and rod bag should be placed upright in the storage room, not horizontally, to avoid compression deformation.
Spring and Summer Fishing Rod Maintenance
At the end of spring each year, when the temperature differences between day and night and between indoor and outdoor air are relatively small, open the storage room to allow air circulation between indoors and outdoors, and take out the new carbon fiber fishing rod to wipe away the dust with a deer skin (or with a lens cloth) section by section gently. After wiping away the dust from the old rods, apply a thin layer of polish wax to maintain the cleanliness and brightness of the fishing rods (new rods do not need to be waxed). Then, put the fishing rods back into the storage room. If there is no storage room at home, you can make a cabinet with a tight and close door to store the fishing rods in it. The storage cabinet should be placed in a place where direct sunlight cannot reach, and the indoor temperature in summer should not be too high, maintained below 28 to 30 degrees Celsius.
