The air conditioning diffuser pipe is used in the VRV (Variable Refrigerant Volume) air conditioning system to connect the main unit and multiple terminal devices (evaporators). It is divided into gas pipes and liquid pipes. The gas pipe is generally thicker than the liquid pipe. The refrigerant is throttled through an expansion valve or a capillary tube, and then connects to the liquid pipe of the branching device after exiting from the main unit. The refrigerant is diverted through the liquid pipe to branch out to other branching devices and terminal evaporators. After the refrigerant in the evaporator absorbs heat to become a gas, it flows back to the compressor of the main unit through the gas pipe.

The air conditioning branch pipe is equivalent to the fork head of a water pipe, and its function is to divert the refrigerant. The multi-unit branch pipe is used as a component to connect several air outlets in series. The selection of the air conditioning branch pipe is determined by the capacity of each indoor unit connected after the branch pipe.

The air conditioning diffuser can be installed horizontally or vertically. When installed horizontally, the angle between the branch inlet and the horizontal line must be less than 15 degrees; when installed vertically, facing the two branch inlets, any one of the branch inlets must be less than 15 degrees from the vertical line; the pipe section after the two branch inlets must ensure a straight pipe section of more than 60 cm; a small diffuser cannot replace a large diffuser.
