How to use flint to start a fire:
Step 1:
Press the bottom edge of the magnesium block against the ground, and use the serrated blade included with this flint or a knife to scrape off some magnesium powder. Be careful with the direction and force applied to avoid creating sparks. Then, gather the scraped magnesium powder into a small pile near flammable materials (such as paper, leaves, small branches, tree bark, or the ignition agents and alcohol wipes provided by this store).
Step 2:
Place the bottom end of the flint against the ground at an angle of about 45 degrees, approximately 2.5 cm away from the magnesium dust that was scraped earlier, and scrape rapidly with a blade. To effectively produce sparks, the blade can be oriented perpendicular to the scraping surface, which will generate sparks, thereby igniting the magnesium dust, and then the paper, leaves, alcohol cotton, and other ignition materials.
Step 3:
If there are flammable items such as toilet paper, alcohol wipes, shredded leaves, or dry grass nearby, you can place the bottom of a flint stone against the ground at an angle of about 45 degrees, then use a scraper, a survival card, or a knife to scrape quickly and forcefully, ensuring the sparks land on the flammable material.
