Chuashao

排箫,又名雅箫、颂箫、舜箫、秦箫,是一种汉族乐器,起源于中国西周时期,世界上最早的排箫是3000多年前中国西周初期的骨排箫。排箫是把若干支同种材质的音管,用粘接、捆绑、或框架固定的方式把它们结合成一个整体乐器;在音管的内部用蜂蜡或cork stopperWhen playing a flute, the airflow glides over the blowing hole and strikes the inner wall of the opposite side, causing the air in the inner cavity of the flute to vibrate, producing musical notes. Due to the different positions of wax and cork, the vibration period of the air in the flute is different, so the vibration frequency of the air is different, thus producing different musical notes. The pan flute is a musical instrument that can be both solo and ensemble.

1Glossary Summary

The pipa, also known as a Chinese lute, is a stringed instrument that can be played solo or in ensemble. It originated in the Western Zhou Dynasty of China. The pipa is composed of several identical-material sound tubes combined into a single instrument, with beeswax or soft wood stops inside; when played, the inner chamber of the sound tubes vibrates to produce musical tones; different vibration frequencies produce different musical notes.

2Instrument Introduction

Editor

The panpipe is a wind instrument composed of a series of tubes, which are arranged in order from long to short or from short to long. The tubes are connected side by side and the bases of the tubes are blocked with stoppers to form independent blowing tubes. When playing, air flows into the tubes to produce different pitch tones.

The sound of the pan flute is pure and beautiful, soft and delicate, ethereal and elegant.

The pan flute can be both solo and ensemble.

The pan flute resembles the wings of a phoenix, with a rich national style. The number and length of pipes have varied through the ages, but they are all single phoenix wings. It was only in the Qing Dynasty that it was changed to double phoenix wings.

In August 1978, two sets of chime bars were excavated from the Tomb of Zeng Houyi in Suixian, Hubei Province. Their unique shapes resemble the wings of a phoenix, and they are both composed of 13 bars of varying lengths.

The same fine bamboo tubes are arranged in sequence, and they are made by twisting three sliced fine bamboo tubes together, with colorful lacquer paintings on the surface. Although these two set of chimes have the same shape, the corresponding tube lengths are different, making them a pair of 'male and female chimes'. The male one is slightly longer, and the female one is slightly shorter. In ancient times, the male and female chimes were often played together, complementing each other, just like a male and female duet.

Over the 1600-year period from the Spring and Autumn period to the end of the Tang Dynasty, the number and length of the pipes of the paixiao were different. Through the transmission of generations and the improvements of instrument makers, it was not until the Qing Dynasty that the sequentially shorter single phoenix wing was changed to a symmetrical double phoenix wing shape, and the pipes were arranged according to the scale. The straps of the pipes were also changed from rope tied bamboo bundles to wooden frame sets.

In the Chinese Music Research Institute in Beijing, there is a set of 16-pipe chuī (a Chinese wind instrument) made during the Qing Dynasty's Qianlong reign (1736-1795), each pipe engraved with a musical note.

The instrument contains twelve scales and four times scales, and the craftsmanship is very exquisite. There are also two golden dragons soaring into the clouds painted on the wooden stand, which is rich in national style.

The Chinese flute is an ancient stringed instrument with a beautiful shape and rich national style. In August 1956, during the Music Week held in Beijing, after extensive consultation, the Ministry of Culture and the Chinese Musicians Association decided to use the pattern of the flute as the musical symbol of China - the musical emblem, to represent our country's long-standing culture and rich and colorful national music art. Since then, on commemorative medals and gifts presented to foreign friends in the music industry of our country, the pattern of the flute has often been printed.
