Items used to decorate hair and the head are called hair accessories. There are many types of hair accessories, but currently there is no comprehensive classification for them in society.
Below is a personal summary of the classification I consider reasonable.
The headband includes hair ties, hair clips, elastic bands, and hair bundles.
Pins and combs are also known as insert combs. This includes crowns, as well as other similar hair accessories with clips and teeth.
Hair pins, also known as hair forks or hair inserts, are used for either one or two needles and are mostly used for styling hair in a bun.
Hair clips, also known as hair bands or hair hoop bands. They are large semi-circular loops that are attached to the back of the ears, made of materials such as fabric or plastic, and consist of a clip that horizontally holds the hair in a bundle.
The pointed clip includes duck beak clips, crane beak clips, crocodile clips, tiger clips, shark clips, etc. These clips, which get thinner as they are inserted into the hair, come in different sizes.
BB clips, also known as waterdrop clips or frog clips. They are typically small clips placed on both sides or at the front for makeup. The fine steel ring is attached inside the hair, with a surface adorned with rhinestones or other decorations. There are also pairs of larger clip claws that grip the hair. Clip clips are divided into edge claws and full claw types. (Clip clips are made of alloy material and acrylic. The large claw clips are suitable for curling hair. The small claw clips can be used as top clips, meaning they hold a small portion of hair when hair is loose.)
Headband: A large semi-circular loop that fits behind the ears, made of fabric or plastic, also known as a hair ring or hair clip.

By category:
1. Hairspins are classified by material: alloy painted (powder) type, alloy acrylic type, and acrylic type.
2. Classified by appearance shape: leaf shape, wave shape, butterfly shape, bow shape, dragonfly shape, oval shape, diamond shape, straight line shape, straight line with floral pattern, straight line with floral patterns on both sides, various flower shapes; hollow top clasps, hollow pendant clasps, net-like shapes, and other different shapes.
3. Classified by use:
A: Hair clips are categorized as: 3–6 cm top clips (used to hold part of the hair and let it flow), and 7–10 cm clips (used to hold all the hair and can be used for braids).
B: The vertical clip is also known as the banana clip (it has an arc shape and is used to stand up hair; generally made of alloy materials or polycarbonate.)
C: Clip types include edge clips and full-clip clips. The full-clip clip is made of alloy material and acrylic, and is suitable for curling hair. The small clip can be used for toping, meaning when wearing hair, it holds a small portion of hair.
D: Pointy Clip (Commonly used for curling hair in summer; most pointy clips are made of alloy material, while some are made of acrylic.)
E: Hair combs are further divided into hair pins, curling combs, and hair scissors. Hair pins can serve as decorations during hair styling or as clamps—by tying half of the hair with a small elastic band and inserting the comb into it. Most are made of alloy material. Curling combs are used for hair styling in summer and are mostly made of acrylic material. Hair scissors are commonly used for hair styling in summer, and most are also made of alloy or acrylic. Compared to curling combs, hair scissors come in single-tip and double-tip versions, while curling combs typically have seven teeth.
F: Hair band ( commonly used to hold loose hair at the forehead or wet hair back, usually made of alloy material or plastic.)
G: Clamp (further divided into single clamp and double clamp; which in turn include edge clamp, straight clamp, frog clamp, duckbill clamp, and BB clamp.)
H: Children's hair accessories: Can be divided into child ropes and clips, and clips can also be classified according to the above categories.
I: Ponytails can be further divided into head flower ponytails, elastic ponytails, and alloy elastic ponytails (five-tie style), as well as alloy ponytail clips. All types of ponytails can be tied into ponytails; head flower ponytails can also be braided, and elastic ponytails can be used as top clips—all are popular ways to wear them.
J: Clutch (usually made of velvet, equipped with a hair net that is movable; typically used to hold hair within the net.)
K: Hair accessories (Common materials include:纱料, fabric, velvet fabric, fur material, acrylic beads, etc.; larger hair accessories can be used for hair styling.)
L: Tape measures (generally divided into long and short ones.)
