Ebony (darkened wood) combines the elegance of wood with the charm of stone, earning it the titles of "Oriental Sacred Wood" and "Wood Mummy." It is formed when earthquakes, floods, and mudslides bury all terrestrial plant life in ancient riverbeds and other low-lying areas. Part of the trees buried in mud, under anoxic and high-pressure conditions, undergo a carbonization process over thousands of years due to the action of bacteria and other microorganisms, hence also known as "carbonized wood." Throughout history, ebony has been used as an amulet to ward off evil, and is often used to make crafts, statues, and talisman pendants. As the ancients said: "Half a square of ebony at home is better than a chest of treasure.
Natural wood beads are difficult to achieve perfection, and we try to choose the best ones for you. The colors may vary in depth, so please be cautious if you are sensitive to this.

The steps for polishing a string of dark wood beads
Step 1: Tie the beaded string into a bead bag and gently massage each bead. Do not massage for a long time, massage when you have time, stop when you don't, do it as you like, let it go naturally. Pay attention to always massage around the hole of the beads. After a few days of massaging, the beaded string will basically shine, and then it can be worn. It is important to note that after each massage, it should be put into a sealed bag to keep it warm.
Step 2: After the formation of the patina, you can wear it for a while to allow it to naturally oxidize. We also call this step "awakening the beads," which can help the patina on the beads to a certain extent. It is generally about a week, and during this time, you do not need to touch it again.
Step 3: Repeat this process five or six times, which is about two or three months, and you will see a luminous sheen on your beads. Well-polished beads sometimes show a strong reflection, while others have a luster similar to glass.
It is important to note: Do not touch the dark wood bead string with large amounts of water at any time. If the beads become dirty, you can wipe them with a slightly wet cotton cloth several times, and then leave them for a while before playing with them. When playing, try to cover all areas of the beads, especially the openings.
And, summer is a new acquisition.dark woodSpecial times for beaded strings, those that have not formed a thicker patina are not suitable for long-term wearing in summer. They can be worn for two days and then left to dry quietly for two days.
The most taboo thing when playing with beads is to be impatient for quick results. You can only take it slowly, one process at a time, and as the beads change, you can also gain a spiritual joy at the same time.
