3.木雕工艺品不宜放置于明火、火墙、火炕、火炉的附近。
4.不宜用带水的毛巾擦拭，宜用含蜡质的或含油脂的纯棉毛巾擦拭为佳。也可以用纯棉毛巾蘸一些核桃仁油轻轻的擦在木雕工艺品的表面也可以达到理想的效果。不过切忌的是，不要用带水的毛巾擦拭，这样会使木雕工艺品过于潮湿，反而达不到预期的效果，而且还伤害了他们。
