2. Heat the surrounding of the light cover with a hot air gun to soften the adhesive, and then you can slowly pry open the light cover. If you do not have a hot air gun, you can use a high-power hair dryer or directly put it into hot water to heat it;
3. Remove the headlight cover, clean the adhesive in the recess, fill in new sealant, cover the new cover and press it firmly, wipe away any excess sealant.
4. After drying, install the headlight assembly back in place.
For damaged headlight covers on cars, if you go to a 4S shop, they usually replace the entire headlight assembly because there are no original parts for the light covers. However, the price of the headlight assembly is quite expensive. We can buy the same model car's headlight covers online or at some auto parts stores. If you want to be more hassle-free, you can go to a professional repair shop to replace them. Make sure to ensure the sealing after the replacement. You will need to pay an additional labor fee for the in-store replacement, but overall, the price is much cheaper than replacing the assembly.
