Luteinizing Hormone (LH) is a hormone that exhibits cyclical changes in its concentration throughout a woman's menstrual cycle. Its role is to stimulate the release of mature eggs from the ovaries. When its peak occurs, LH is present in large amounts in women's blood and urine, making the detection of LH in urine a reliable indicator of whether it is at its peak. The baseline for urine LH is less than 20 mIU/ml, and if it is greater than or equal to 40 mIU/ml, it is a sign that the peak of LH in urine for that menstrual cycle is approaching.
In the middle of a woman's menstrual cycle, the amount of LH secretion increases sharply, forming the "LH peak." Within 48 hours after the peak, ovulation can be triggered. Therefore, women are most fertile within 1-3 days after the "LH peak," making it possible to detect LH using luteinizing hormone (LH) detection test strips.
The level in urine specimens can predict the time of ovulation, thereby effectively grasping the best opportunity for conception or contraception.
Determination Principle
The LH Colloidal Gold Diagnostic Test Strip employs a double antibody sandwich one-step method technology, using colloidal gold as the indicator marker, and employs immuno-lateral layer chromatography to detect the LH concentration in urine. 【操作步骤】
Before testing, you must thoroughly read the user manual, and before use, restore the test strip and urine specimen to room temperature (18°C-30°C).
1. Remove the reagent strip from the original aluminum foil packaging and use it within one hour.
2. Insert the test strip into the urine specimen following the arrow direction. Note: The liquid level of urine should not exceed the marking line of the test strip.
3. After at least 3-10 seconds, remove it and place it flat on a clean and level surface; it can also be left in the urine cup until the result is read.
4. Wait for the appearance of purple-red bands, and the test results should be read within 3-5 minutes. If no result is obtained after 10 minutes, the test is deemed invalid.
【Result Determination】
Positive (+): Two red lines appear. One is in the test area (T), and the other is in the control area (C). And the T line is thicker than the C line, or the C and T lines are of similar thickness.
Negative (-): One or two red lines appear. One line is in the test area (T), and the other is in the control area (C), but the T line is lighter than the C line, or no T line appears.
Invalid: The control area (C) does not show a red line, indicating an incorrect procedure or that the test strip has become damaged or deteriorated. In this case, you should carefully reread the instructions and retest with a new test strip. If the problem persists, immediately stop using this lot number and contact your local supplier.
Note: The color intensity of the control line and test line on the reagent strip can vary depending on the amount of LH in the urine, and the results should be judged according to the above standards.
Sensitivity
The minimum detectable amount of this product is 25 mIU/ml.
Specificity
Has no cross reaction with hTSH, hFSH, etc.
Determination of the Detection Date
First, determine the length of your menstrual cycle. The length of your menstrual cycle refers to the number of days from the first day of your period (when bleeding starts) to the day before the start of the next cycle. Please recall the average length of your cycle over the past few months, and circle the average cycle length in the following table. Read the corresponding number of days below, and count backward from the first day of this cycle to that number. The day you arrive at is the start of the detection period.
In the first and third rows, circle the average period length, and the corresponding numbers in the second and fourth rows are the number of days to count forward.

Note: If the average cycle length cannot be determined and the shortest cycle length is used, then an additional six days of samples are required for testing. If the menstrual cycle is less than 21 days or greater than 40 days, please consult a professional doctor.
For example: Your menstrual cycle is 28 days, and the last period started on the 3rd. According to the table, the detection days are 11, which means you should start testing from the 13th (as shown in the table below).

【Storage and Expiry Date】
The original packaging should be stored at 4-30°C, in a cool, shaded, and dry place, with a validity period of 36 months. Avoid freezing or using after the expiration date.
