A one-way valve, also known as a check valve or reverse valve, is used in hydraulic systems to prevent oil from flowing in the opposite direction or in pneumatic systems to prevent compressed air from flowing in the reverse direction.

One-way valves come in two types: direct-flow and right-angle. Direct-flow one-way valves are connected by threads and installed on the pipeline. Right-angle one-way valves have three forms of connection: threaded, plate, and flange. Hydraulic one-way valves, also known as lock valves or pressure-maintaining valves, are similar to one-way valves and are used to prevent oil from flowing in the opposite direction. However, when it is necessary to reverse the flow of oil in the hydraulic circuit, the one-way valve can be opened by controlling the oil pressure, allowing the oil to flow in both directions. Hydraulic one-way valves use conical valve cores, which leads to good sealing performance. When it is required to close the oil path, this valve can be used as a one-way locking mechanism for the oil path to maintain pressure. The leakage mode of the hydraulic one-way valve's control oil is divided into internal leakage and external leakage. In oil paths without backpressure at the outlet for reverse flow, internal leakage can be used; otherwise, external leakage is needed to reduce the control oil pressure.
