How to use the measuring instrument:

When the roller rolls between two points on the map, the distance indicator pointer rotates accordingly. This value is recorded using the appropriate scale factor, multiplied by a proportion coefficient, which yields the actual distance between the two points. This is much more accurate than the straight-line distance measured with a ruler. The map distance meter is convenient and efficient for measuring the actual distance of curved routes on the map.

Precautions:

1. Use in a horizontal position to ensure accuracy as much as possible;

2. To prevent the magnetic needle from becoming confused, keep a certain distance from wire mesh and magnetic objects when using it;

3. Do not use a surveying tape to hit objects, as this may affect measurement accuracy;

4. The surface and lens must remain clean; do not use dirty cloths or hands to wipe them.
