The glass scraper is an effective tool for cleaning glass.
1. Structural Composition
1. Sharpening
- The blade is the most important part of a glass scraper, usually made of materials such as rubber or silicone. High-quality rubber blades are soft and elastic, able to fit tightly against the glass surface, effectively remove water stains and dirt, and do not leave scratches. Silicone blades perform better in terms of durability and resistance to chemical corrosion.
2. Scraper
– The blade provides support for the scraper, typically made of plastic or metal. Metal blades are more durable and robust, but care must be taken to avoid scratching glass; plastic blades are lighter and cheaper.
3. Handle
– The handle is easy to hold and operate for the user. The design follows ergonomics, with some features having anti-slip textures or rubber covers, enhancing comfort and stability during cleaning glass operations.
II. Usage Instructions
1. Preparation work
- Before using the glass scraper, clean the dust and other debris on the glass surface with a wet cloth or feather duster. Then, you can spray an appropriate amount of glass cleaner or water on the glass.
2. Scratching operation
– Hold the glass scraper, positioning the blade at a certain angle (usually 30 – 45 degrees) to the glass surface. Start from the top of the glass and scrape smoothly downward along the surface. After each scrape, wipe the dirt on the blade with a clean cloth or paper towel to keep it clean, thereby improving the effectiveness of the next scrape.
III. Maintenance
1. Strip maintenance
– Regularly clean the scraping bar to prevent residual stains from affecting the scraping effect. If the scraping bar becomes worn or aged, it should be replaced promptly.
2. Overall maintenance
- After use, clean the glass scraper thoroughly and store it in a dry, well-ventilated place, avoiding direct sunlight to extend its service life.
