Warm reminder: Care for plush toys
1. Keep the room clean and minimize dust; frequently use clean, dry, and soft tools to clean the surface of the toys.
2. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight, and keep the toy dry both inside and out.
3. During cleaning, appropriate measures can be taken based on size. For smaller toys, use tape to cover the parts prone to wear, then put them directly into a washing machine for gentle washing, spinning, and drying in a cool, shaded place until dry. Gently pat the toy periodically to make its fur and fillings fluffy and soft. For larger toys, locate the filling seams, cut the stitching, and remove the fill material (polyester-cotton). Special areas may not need removal (to better maintain the shape), and use tape to cover the parts prone to wear. Clean and dry the outer surface, then insert the fill material back into the toy shell, shape it, and sew it up.
4. For fur/cloth or dolls equipped with high-tech electronics, circuits, and speakers, it is essential to remove the electronic components (some of which are not waterproof) or batteries before cleaning to prevent damage from water.
5. After cleaning and drying the toys, use a clean comb or similar tool to style the fur in the direction of the hair, making it smooth and attractive.
6. Check whether the internal organs of plush toys are clean and hygienic. In substandard toy fillers, there may be discarded plastic, fiber ropes, paper scraps, and even black-hearted cotton that is explicitly prohibited by the state.
7. Check the eyes, nose, and mouth of the plush toy to see if they are sturdy. If the small parts on the toy do not meet national standards in terms of tensile strength, it is considered an unqualified product.
8. For good health, stuffed toys should be disinfected and cleaned regularly.
9. A simple and effective sterilization and disinfection method: use a steam iron with high power to gently pass over the fur for smooth ironing, which also has a certain effect on sterilization and dirt removal.
10. Instructions for washing plush toys at home: For toys with few small parts, wash by hand or machine with warm water at 30–40°C. Use a neutral laundry detergent; for long-fleece toys, cashmere detergent will yield better results.
11. How to prevent toys from getting dirty and extend their lifespan? When purchasing a toy, never discard the cardboard box or plastic bag—use them for dust protection during storage. In humid climates, place desiccants nearby to prevent the toy from getting damp. Try to avoid pressing on the toy during storage to prevent deformation and damage.
