This is a toy from the 1980s model; this version is an improved variant with better craftsmanship compared to the 1980s models. The materials are thicker, and the design ensures durability over its lifespan.
Gameplay: Screw the lid on (but not too tightly), then pull the piston rod out, tension the string, pull the trigger, and the piston moves forward. The sealed air is quickly compressed, pushing open the lid with a "snap" sound. We used to play this when we were kids—it was quite fun. I also liked to put a small, rolled-up paper ball in the piston chamber; along with the snap sound, it would also shoot out....(However, since it relies on elastic force, a certain pulling force is needed. If the force is too weak, the toy can only be operated by parents to tension the string.)
1. The previous model had a hollow grid pattern on the handle; the material was thin and low in quality, bending easily with just a slight twist. The current version is thicker, and no longer uses the hollow design—that isn’t scientific. Moreover, the overall craftsmanship quality difference is significant; the current process is much better than before. This is a rare product among nostalgic toys that performs better than those made previously.
