Purpose of the model:
This model is suitable for secondary schools and medical institutions when teaching the skeletal structure of the entire human body, enabling students to understand the bony framework and body shape relationships, as well as the shapes and surface features of various bone types and the interrelationships that constitute bone joints.
1. Skull bones: The entire skull is composed of 22 bone pieces. When the skull cap is cut horizontally, the structures inside the skull can be viewed, and the mandible is movable.
2. Spine: Composed of 7 cervical vertebrae, 12 thoracic vertebrae, 1 sacrum, 1 coccyx, and 2–3 intervertebral discs. It exhibits four physiological curves: neck, chest, lumbar, and sacral.
3. Thoracic cage: Composed of 24 ribs, 1 sternum, and the soft ribs connected to the thoracic spine, forming the thoracic cage.
4. Pelvis: Composed of the sacrum, coccyx, and two hip bones.
5. Upper limb bones: Composed of 64 bones. The scapula and clavicle in the shoulder region are fixed to the thoracic cage, while the free parts of the upper limbs can be detached, allowing for free movement of joints such as the shoulder, elbow, and wrist.
6. Lower limb bones: Composed of 62 bones, the lower limb belt forms the pelvis. The free parts of the lower limbs can be detached, and joints such as the hip and knee can move freely.
