This model is based on normal human anatomy, from the overall structure to individual components. It is designed and manufactured with technical requirements for lighting and liquid visualization. It can be used with catheterization and enema devices to perform actual catheterization and enema procedures on male or female patients. Its features include realistic simulation, strong tangible feel, multiple uses, interchangeable components, and easy handling. It is an ideal training and teaching model for medical personnel.
Key features:
■ Male catheterization: The penis can be lifted to simulate the straight position of the urethral corpus cavernosum anterior to the pubis. A green light will indicate when the catheter is inserted and passing through (the green light does not illuminate when the catheter fails to pass); when it reaches about 20 mm into the bladder, a red light appears, and urine is expelled from the catheter, approximately 200 milliliters.
■ Female catheterization: The legs are bent and extended, with an outward angle of about 60 degrees. When the catheter is inserted into the urethra by approximately 4 centimeters and reaches the bladder, a red light is activated, and “urine” is expelled from the catheter, approximately 200 milliliters.
■ Enema: The model can be positioned in the left lateral position. The anal tube is inserted into the rectum about 10 centimeters from the anus. A self-prepared enema syringe is hung on the infusion stand, and approximately 200 milliliters of “enema solution” can be injected.
