Purple copper, also known as red copper, is elemental copper. It gets its name because of its purplish-red color. All properties related to copper are described in the section on copper. Purple copper isIndustrial pure copper, its melting point is 1083°C, noneAllotrope transformation,Relative density8.9, five times that of magnesium. The mass ratio to ordinary steel at the same volume is about 15% heavier.
Brass, due to its rose red color, forms a surface...Oxide filmIt turns purple later, which is why it is commonly called purple copper. It contains a certain amountOxygenCopper, hence also known as oxygen-containing copper
T1 brass possesses excellent electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance, and processing properties; it can be welded and brazed. It contains few impurities that reduce electrical and thermal conductivity, and trace amounts of oxygen have little impact on these properties, but they can cause "hydrogen disease," making it unsuitable for processing (such as annealing or welding) or use in high-temperature (e.g., >370°) reducing atmospheres.
