Butyl waterproof tape is made primarily from butyl rubber, along with other additives. It utilizes high-molecular materials and is produced through a special manufacturing process to become an environmentally friendly solvent-free, non-curing self-adhesive waterproof sealant.

It has adhesion properties for surfaces made of various materials, while also possessing weather resistance and waterproofing capabilities. It provides sealing, vibration reduction, and protection effects on the surface of the material being bonded. Since it contains no solvents, it does not shrink; and because it does not cure, it follows the thermal expansion and contraction, as well as mechanical deformation, of the surface being bonded. It is a high-quality waterproof material.

2. Primary Applications

1) The interlocking connections between steel roof panels and colored steel plates, as well as the joints of water drainage gutters

4) Adhesion of waterproof film for car doors and windows, sealing, and shock resistance.

3. Construction Method

1) Based on the panel shape of the color steel plate or the gaps at the joints, select appropriate specifications of waterproof tape according to the engineering design requirements;

2) Before pasting, all water, oil, dirt, and other impurities on the color steel plate must be completely removed to keep the paste surface clean;

3) Starting from one end of the color steel plate, apply double-sided tape along the joint in a straight line at the overlapping area of the lower layer plate. Then press the tape gently first and then harder with hands to ensure it bonds firmly to the color steel plate.

4) Remove the isolation paper on the upper layer of the tape, insert the colored plate steel sheet on the interface into the joint, then sequentially press the seam to ensure a strong bond and a tight seal.
