Local women wore hemp dresses and walked on stone paths barefoot, their ankles adorned with a handmade gold chain that made a tinkling sound. Sunlight streamed through the clouds, turning the entire terraced fields golden like honey.

She suddenly realized: the most enchanting color in South America is not green, but that burnt caramel color that has been exposed to sunlight all afternoon.

So, these shoes came into being.

2. Three Inspiration Themes
