Zinc-coated steel is a type of grounding product. It uses low-carbon steel and zinc as its primary materials, and through continuous casting hot-dip zinc treatment, it forms a bimetallic composite material. This product combines the advantages of zinc strip anodes and traditional galvanized steel grounding materials; it possesses both the strength and thermal stability of steel, as well as cathodic protection capabilities.
The main performance indicators of zinc-coated steel: 1. The chemical composition of the zinc layer meets the requirements of standard ASTM B48-95.
2. Electrochemical performance indicators: a. Current efficiency ≥ 95%; b. Open-circuit potential (V) ≤ -1.030 (SCE); c. Closed-circuit potential ≤ -1.050 (SCE).
3. Contact resistance: ≤0.5mΩ.
Advantages of the product
1. The zinc-coated steel uses low-carbon steel as the core, which possesses the strength and thermal stability of steel, ensuring the grounding current dissipation function.
2. As a coating metal, zinc has 2.5 times the electrical conductivity of steel, making it more efficient in conductivity.
3. As a coating metal, zinc has strong corrosion resistance, significantly extending its service life.
4. Due to the certain thickness of the zinc layer, it can serve as a sacrificial anode to protect the grounding grid, underground metal structures, and related steel equipment.
