It has excellent electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance, and processing properties, making it suitable for welding and fiber welding. It contains few impurities that reduce electrical and thermal conductivity; even trace amounts of oxygen have little impact on these properties, but it can easily cause "hydrogen damage", and is not suitable for processing (annealing, welding, etc.) or use in high-temperature (such as >370°) reducing atmospheres.
