6082 aluminum alloy belongs to the 6××× series (Al-Mg-Si)Alloy aluminum plate, is an aluminum alloy plate that can be strengthened through heat treatment. It features moderate strength, excellent welding properties, and corrosion resistance, and is primarily used in transportation, structural engineering, and industrial applications.

Smelting Process:

1. Melting

The characteristic of alloy 6082 is its presence of Mn; Mn isnon-melting metalsThe melting temperature should be maintained at 740–760°C. After stirring evenly for at least two times prior to sampling, ensure the metal is fully melted, the temperature is accurate, and the composition is uniform. After stirring, take one sample from the middle of the aluminum melt depth and one sample from each side of the furnace for analysis. Once the analysis is satisfactory, proceed to the converter.

2. Purification and Casting

After the melt is transferred to the static settling furnace, it is treated with nitrogen.Refining agentPerformpowder spraying, Jet refining: temperature 735–745°C, duration 15 minutes, followed by 30 minutes of standing after refining. This process removes gas, slag, and purifies the melt.
