The rope The steel wire rope can be divided into single, double and triple rope according to the level of twisting.
Single rope
Made of a number of fine wires
Layers of wire rope
Twisted around a metal core, poor flexibility, easy to wear and break when repeated bending, mainly used as a non-moving tension cable.
Double rope
From the wire twisted into a strand and then by the strand around the core twisted into a rope. The commonly used rope core is hemp core, high temperature operation is appropriate to use asbestos core or soft steel wire to twist the metal core. The front of the rope is coated with lubricating oil, which can reduce the damage caused by the friction between the wire. It is easy to manufacture and widely used.
Three rope
The twin-wound strand is twisted around the twin-wound core to make the rope flexible. But the manufacture is more complex, and the steel wire is too thin, easy to wear, so few applications. There are two winding directions of wire rope. The direction of the twisted wire is equal to that of the twisted wire. It has a long service life, but has a tendency of torsion looseness. It should not be used as lifting rope for free end hanging weight. The direction of the twisted wire is opposite to that of the twisted wire. The interlaced wire rope is not easy to twist loose and is widely used in lifting operation.
A right interactive twist ZS: right lay of the rope. The direction of the left lay of the strand is opposite to that of the wire inside the strand
B. Left alternate lay SZ: left lay and right lay
C right cotwist ZZ: right lay of rope, right lay of strand
D left cotwist: left lay of the rope, left lay of the rope
E right mixed twist: right lay of rope, left lay of part, right lay of part
F left mixed twist: left lay of the rope, right lay of part of the rope, and left lay of part of the rope[1]
