Introduction to Super-Light Clay:
Super-light clay is a type of paper clay, commonly known as super-light soil. It is easier and more comfortable to mold, making it more suitable for shaping, and the results are very cute. It is more prevalent in Japan and is a new type of eco-friendly, naturally drying handcraft molding material that has emerged in Japan.
The process primarily involves the use of foam powder made from high molecular materials (vacuum microspheres) to create foam. This foam is then physically mixed with polyethylene glycol, cross-linking agent, glycerol, and pigment at a certain ratio to create the final product.
Super-light clay characteristics:
1. Ultra light, ultra soft, ultra clean, non-sticky, no residue.
2. A variety of colors are available, which can be mixed in proportion to create various colors. The mixing is easy and user-friendly.
3. The work does not need to be baked, it dries naturally, and there will be no cracks after drying.
4. High degree of combination with other materials, whether it is paper, glass, metal, or lace, beads, all have excellent compatibility. After drying and shaping, it can be painted with watercolor, oil paint, acrylic paint, nail polish, etc., with high inclusiveness.
The drying speed depends on the size of the artwork. The smaller the artwork, the faster the drying speed, and the larger it is, the slower it will be. Generally, the surface of the artwork will dry in about 3 hours.
6. The work can be preserved for 4 to 5 years without deterioration or mold.
7. The raw materials are easy to store, and when they dry quickly, adding some water to maintain moisture can restore them to their original state.
