The power supply voltage of the cigarette lighter is 12 volts, which is consistent with the vehicle's battery voltage. The cigarette lighter usually has a separate power line connected to it, which is not mixed with other lines, so it has a separate fuse. The correct use method should be to insert and remove it vertically, do not shake, often shake to remove may cause looseness and short circuit, burn out the fuse and external devices. The shell of the cigarette lighter is the negative pole of the power supply, and the middle electric heating wire is the positive pole of the power supply. When inserting the cigarette lighter and pressing down to lock, the electric heating film of the cigarette lighter and the positive pole of the cigarette lighter socket contact to start heating. After the temperature of the electric heating film reaches, affected by temperature, the spring clip deforms to release the cigarette lighter socket, and the cigarette lighter pops out to light a cigarette. After use, insert it back into the socket (do not press again), and the electric heating film will naturally reduce the temperature.
Due to long-term use, the constant repeated pulling out and inserting can cause the spring clip to loosen, making it impossible to lock the lighter after pressing it, thus failing to heat the electric heating element of the lighter. Another issue is that repeated plugging and unplugging and improper use can cause an electrical short circuit, which can burn out the fuse.
