Although synthetic hair brushes are smoother, they are less likely to evenly apply the powder.

The brush hair should be soft, smooth, tight, full, and not easily detached, and the handle should also be convenient to use.

When selecting a brush, you can feel its elasticity by hand, or you can press the brush directly on the table. High-quality bristles will be distributed in a circular shape without any gaps.

Gently sweep the brush over your palm several times, and only if there is no bristle loss, is it of the highest quality.

A method to identify the authenticity of bristle is to blow a hot air from a hair dryer onto the bristle, and if it maintains its original shape, it is animal hair; if it curls, it is synthetic fiber.

How to Clean Makeup Brushes

You can choose a special hairbrush cleaner for cleaning, gently rub it, and then rinse it with cold water.

★ Do not clean in the opposite direction.

After cleaning, use a face towel or makeup cotton pad to gently press the bristles to quickly drain the water. Remember not to twist the bristles, which could cause them to become loose or even shed.

After drying the brush thoroughly, you can hang it up with the bristles facing down to allow it to dry naturally. Do not use a hair dryer to heat dry it or expose it to direct sunlight, as this may damage the material.

How to Store Makeup Brushes

Most makeup brands will provide corresponding makeup bags, and you can also purchase them based on the number and size you have. Small makeup bags are usually suitable for storing short-handle brushes or travel brushes, which are more commonly used; the larger ones are suitable for storing professional makeup brushes.

★ It is best to store unused brushes with the bristles facing up in the makeup container. Long-handled brushes are convenient to use, but they are not convenient to carry. It might be a good idea to have a shorter, larger brush that fits the size of your makeup bag.
