Elastic Power Car Course Presentation
How is the force generated in a rubber band?
Elastic objects like rubber bands and springs can easily change shape when subjected to external forces. When their shape changes, they generate a force that tries to restore the original shape, which is called elastic force. When they return to their original shape, the elastic force is restored.
Experiment Plan
1. You can perform a comparison experiment by winding different numbers of coils around the axle of the car. Discuss to determine the number of turns for the experiment.
2. When conducting the experiment, it is also important to note that the toy cars should be the same, as should the rubber bands. The smoothness of the ground should also be consistent.
3. You can mark the ground appropriately to compare the distance they travel.
The distance traveled by the car refers to the distance from the front wheel of the car to the finish line.Think about it:
To make the car move forward, the direction of the rubber band wound around the axle should be __________.
