Reflection and Refraction of Light
1. The reflection of light

Reflection of light: an optical phenomenon. It refers to the change in the direction of light propagation when it encounters different materials, and then returns to the original material. Light reflects when it hits the surface of water, glass, and many other objects. When light changes its direction of propagation at the boundary between two materials and then returns to the original material, this is called the reflection of light. The reflection of light is divided into specular reflection and diffuse reflection.
2. Refraction of Light

Refraction of Light: When light enters a different medium at an angle, its direction of propagation changes, causing light to bend at the boundary between different media.
Characteristics: Light refraction, like light reflection, occurs at the boundary of two different media. However, reflected light returns to the original medium, while refracted light enters another medium. Since light travels at different speeds in the two different substances, the direction of propagation changes at the boundary of the two media, which is known as the phenomenon of light refraction. In the refraction phenomenon, the light path is reversible.
Special circumstances: total reflection. When light from a dense medium (i.e., a medium with a large refractive index for light) is incident on the interface of a sparse medium (i.e., a medium with a small refractive index for light), all of the light is reflected back into the original medium. When light from a dense medium enters a sparse medium, it refracts away from the normal, as shown in the diagram. When the incidence angle θ increases to a certain situation (as shown by the e-ray in the diagram), the refraction line extends along the surface, i.e., the refraction angle is 90°. This incidence angle C is called the critical angle. If the incidence angle is greater than the critical angle, there is no refraction, and all the light is reflected back into the dense medium (as shown by the f and g rays in the diagram), this phenomenon is called total reflection.

Experimental Report: The reflection index is ~0.87, why does the long corridor appear? Because the reflection index causes each image to shrink by 0.87, so an infinite long corridor appears.
