For printed velvet fabrics, velvet processing is carried out before printing; for bleached and miscolored velvet fabrics, it is done at the end. The warp yarns used in the base fabric should be fine; the weft yarns should be thick with minimal twist. The cotton fibers used for spinning the weft yarns should be thick and have good uniformity. The fabric has a lower warp density and a higher weft density, allowing the weft yarns to appear on the surface, which helps ensure that the weft cotton fibers form a plump and uniform velvet texture. After velvet processing, significant strength loss occurs in the weft direction; therefore, maintaining high-quality cotton yarn and proper velvet processing techniques are crucial.
