These classic hemispherical chafing dishes are made of stainless steel and are with or without top windows. They are equipped with hydraulic lids so that the lids won't slam when dropping down. There is a version of gold-plated legs for option. 

Generally, they are used with refillable fuels (such as alcohol) for heating. Electric heating plates are sold separately.
